The bushes of Blackberry often serve as a hedgerow of many gardens. The flowers of the species attracts many various insects including butterflies, hoverflies and bugs. It is clear I am not exception too :). In summer the species of Cetonia aurata is also frequent guest on the bushes.

Cetonia aurata, called the rose chafer or, sometimes, the green rose chafer or goldsmith beetle, is a beetle, 20 mm (ž in) long, that has a metallic green colouration and a distinct V-shaped scutellum.
The scutellum is the small V-shaped area between the wing cases; it shows several small, irregular, white lines and marks.
The underside of the beetle has a coppery colour, and its upper side is sometimes bronze, copper, violet, blue/black, or grey.
Cetonia aurata should not be confused with the North American rose chafer, macrodactylus subspinosus.
The rarely seen noble chafer is very similar to the rose chafer. One way to identify it is to look at its scutellum; on the noble chafer the scutellum is an equilateral triangle, but on the rose chafer it is an isosceles triangle.
(Cetonia aurata)

The blackberry is an edible fruit produced by many species in the Rubus genus in the Rosaceae family, hybrids among these species within the Rubus subgenus, and hybrids between the Rubus and Idaeobatus subgenera. What distinguishes the blackberry from its raspberry relatives is whether or not the torus (receptacle or stem) 'picks-with' (i.e. stays with) the fruit. When picking a blackberry fruit, the torus does stay with the fruit. With a raspberry, the torus remains on the plant, leaving a hollow core in the raspberry fruit. The term 'bramble', a word meaning any impenetrable scrub, has traditionally been applied specifically to the blackberry or its products, though in the United States it applies to all members of the Rubus genus. In the western US, the term caneberry is used to refer to blackberries and raspberries as a group rather than the term bramble.
The usually black fruit is not a true berry. Botanically it is termed an aggregate fruit, composed of small drupelets. It is a widespread and well-known group of over 375 species, many of which are closely related apomictic microspecies native throughout Europe, northwestern Africa, temperate western and central Asia and North and South America.

Hello Alexei,
Beautiful macro in great sharpness and details. A pity that the light of the flash is concentrated on one point. Taken from a very good POV in an attractive composition.

That complex composition, Alexei!

Flower; beetle and small fruits, all with luxurious definition, composing what I call an ecological photography, where life is shown in full interaction.

Congratulations, Ukrainian friend.

Hi Alex
very lively and wonderful close up of the bug. The details are splendid and they so sharp.
Very well captured and well presented.

Privet Alexei,
I don't know how I missed this superb macro shot 'til now. Fabulous composition, and the light balance is simply unbelievable. Plenty of details, no blown out parts on the whites, meanwhile the darker parts are exposed well also. Absolutely beautiful. Beside the awesome metallic emerald of the insect, I love the green berries, too, they're very attractive as well. Hats off of you again, my friend. I truly hope once you'll return to TN, the sooner the better.
Best regards, László
