I like how you use macro converter and love your close-ups. Very impressive specimen of robber fly and superb reproduction of its stunning details and features. Colours are fine and unusual for our steppes. Shot is composed perfectly and POV is great too. Bravo.

Hi Hilary,
A very fine close-up shot with good details and DOF, the whole
fly is in good focus. The colours are nice and natural and I like the composition. The OOF down is maybe a bit distracting,
it you raised the camera a small bit maybe it had been some
better, but it's not easy, I know that.

Wow very impressive macro,the details are sharp and well focused.
The colours are well saturated.
So these guys prefer yellow dung do they? LOL
Seriously a well presented capture,I agree with Gert that it is not easy to always get foreground distractions out of the field of view,but you have done well here to capture the fly.

What a monster :) I love the colours here, he almost seems to glow and the DOF is perfect making him stand out from the OOF BG. Great POV and sharp details. This is lovely macro work
