selam nick, an excellent shot and very good composition of this lovely b.fly nice pov and bg with splendid colours.
Well done ! Regards ridvan pt:)

Not the best of specimens Nick but you gotta take what's there. A good side view showing the "eye" and the composition is pleasant. Strong lighting brings out detail and the background is balanced. Best, Brat.

Hello Nicholas,
it is not necessary to show entirely intact specimens to achieve a good picture. Your picture is the proof. It shows a rather worn female of
Maniola jurtina (meadow brown). Very good focus on butterfly and flowers.
Best wishes, Peter

Hi Nick,
A very bright and colorful image. The POV and the angle of the butterfly in the composition are both excellent. Very clean and noise-free image. The focus is a tiny bit soft, but I suspect that this is a difficult butterfly to get good detail. It is a very good post.

Hi Nicholas,
great shot with nice light, details, sharpness, composition. POV and BG aslo nice. TFS
well done

Hi Nick,

A wonderful macro of this lovely butterfly and pretty yellow flowers. The colors work very well together. Nice details and background.

Hi Nicholas,
Bonita imagen de la mariposa, toda inundada de luz y reflejos amarillos, con un fondo parecido y a la vez borroso que no molesta con las flores y el insecto. Tal vez algo suave de foco, o tal vez le falte más resolución a mi pantalla.
Saludos cordiales

Hello Nick,
Very beautiful composition indeed!
Rich yellow colour with good sharpness on the butterfly and flowers
well framed and well seen
thanks a lot

I am definitely a color eyed person.... brown and yellow are neither complimenting nor contrasting but it works well here. They appear to be more earth tones. This method allows the eye to focus where total focus is not achieved otherwise. Very nicely done and so noted as well.

Hello Nick,
Brilliant yellow colour of the flowers and the lighting is just right. The subject is not that sharp but still one can see the details of the butterfly well enough,

Superb rich colours and wonderful details! Poor old thing won't have lived too many hours after this image, though

Hello Nicholas,
the yellow in all its shades! Focus and depth are very well. The colors are so bright, but also warm. Sun or flash?

Somehow I managed to miss this post.
Great butterfly shot! Wonderful colors and great details. I like it that our friend is a little rough around the edges. It shows that even those of us who are also rough and a bit worn out can be beautiful. ;D
