[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

As i've yet to get anything else new to share with you (hopefully this will change at the weekend!), i've dipped back into my archives again.
This was taken back in May, at a local beauty spot near where i live called Throop Mill. After such a long run of miserable grey and wet weather recently, this struck me as the perfect reminder that it won't always be like this and come Spring, new life (and hopefully sunshine) will return once more.
I know this is nowhere near as good as the shots you experts in this field can produce, but hopefully it will help offer some relief from the dark winter days!

I appear to have lost the exif data here, so apologies for the lack of technical information.

Thanks for looking..

Hi Paul
Very cute one :-) Beautfiul light, great colours - mix of yellow, green and golden. Also great composition
I like it very much

Hello Paul
Very intersting scene you show us here,
Perfect composition,exposure and POV,
Superb shot,Welldone.

Good luck

Not sure why you keep these shots hidden away in your secret vault. It shows us you have many strings to the mighty bow that you wield my friend. The light warms my heart that there are longer days ahead for us to go out exlporing what mother nature has so kindly dealt us.
Top billing.

Hi Paul,

A nice capture out fromthe archive,I like especially the lightfall and the colors within it,tfs this sunny picture,

Hello Paul
This is superb....All eight are following the parent apart from the one that is brave and having a look over his shoulder at you?!!..Its a perfect scene perfectly captured..
The lense lets your eye down slightly...But that by no means detracts from a wonderful scene of nature that you have portrayed so well here...11/10

Hello Paul,
They look so great in the backlight!
Super outline of the plumage, and the low point of view adds a fine feeling of depth...
A well balanced composition and a beautiful early summer scenery!

Hi Paul, this is a lovely and refreshing image for this time of year and it certainly does inspire us to look forward to the next Spring. I very much like the soft warm glow of light on this and the Swan looks so proud of her 7 young Signets. It is charming with a lovely pov, nice focus and composition.

Hi Paul

ahhh you have got the cute vote here. Lovely family scene shot in some stunning light. I love the way it is highlighting them. Well focus and nicely composed

A worthy bit of time travel here, Paul. The golden lighting makes for a very pleasing environment, and you've really captured this graceful family with exquisite charm. Nice focal control, point of view, and cropping.

Hi Paul,
How great to see a different type of photography in your gallery. This indicates the diversity of your skills very well.
This surely is a wonderful photo with a great romantic mood to it. The soft light really enhances the feathers of the chicks and mom.

Hi Paul,

I live the quality of the light, especially it reflects off the chicks. It's a pleasure to look at, and having just looked at one of Bob Shannon's winter wilderness shots, it's a great contrast, and a reminder that sping isn't too far away.

Hallo Paul
I am so glad you have gone back into your archives and shared this lovely photo of the swans with us. I like the mixture of different colours of the water, but the shade of gold is really spectacular. Splendid family scene, which just proof how wonderful mother nature is. The seven little swans looks so fluffy and are really cute. You can dig out these kinds of scenes more often. They are a pleasure to look at. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards

Hello Paul,
The lighting and composition make this swan with cygnet brood a superb image. If this were taken with the light it wouldn't have been half as good. Lovely dark contrasting BG too.
This was well worth posting to brighten up the winter gloom.
Thanks for sharing this beauty,

How cute!!!!
What a lovely and marvellous capture, Paul! The little ugly ducks look really beautiful all in family. Splendid POV, DOF, framing and composition with a very nice use of light.
I really love it!
Thank you very much for sharing.
My best regards

Hi Paul,

Awwww! Lovely shot this my friend, very heart-warming, spring is indeed on the way, at last, and this represents the new lease of life and new warmth really nicely - lovely backlit colours and composition, great shot! Do you find that at the 300mm end the lens tends to be a little soft? I'm finding that - this shot doesn't look too soft though?

Cheers, Doug
