Superb sharp picture of this gannet. Excellent composition, light and colours. I could only see one Gannet this summer and the bird came very close to the beach.
Congrats for your 100th post! You do always, in my opinion, pictures of a great quality.

Congratulations on #100! This is a wonderfully sharp and well exposed image Pekka. Gannets are among my most favorite birds. I love the markings and the sleekness of them. You captured all the detail. I keep wanting to straighten the image up but I suspect he was actually standing at an angle. It makes me nervous but I guess birds are better equipped than the rest of us for dealing with cliffs and falls!!!!!!! : )

TFS and I'm sure we are all looking forward to the next 100!

I really like the composition and color on this shot. The background grass forms an excellent backdrop to show the gannet to full advantage. The contrast would be much less dramatic against the rock surface.
