[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the second post from my Sunday visit to College Lake nature centre.
The same Dragonfly, a common hawker (male).
It was a lovely sunny and warm day, so plenty of Dragonflys were active.

Here is a link to Sundays post.

Thanks for looking, have a good day.

Hey Alan,

WOW this is really nice. I love the "stars" in the bokeh --- I take it that is the water that has been blured out. The focus on the dragonfly is exceptional. It's so very sharp. Well done.

Very cool picture, Alan. The dragonfly is very sharp and well-exposed and is perfect. What sets this shot apart are those bright water spots in the background. They sure add a "touch of magic". Well done and TFS. : )

Hello Alan,
Very good close-up. Very good light on the dragon and I love the effect on the BG.
Very good work.

Hi Alan

Love those transparent wings. They always remind me of leadlight windows. The waterdrops glistening in the BG is a great effect. Tack sharp, good clear details and well composed. Nice one! Thanks.

Excellent macro, fantastic sharpness, DOF and POV.

Hi Alan,
Excellent background, very sharp and detailed.

This Dragonfly is very well captured. Its pose on the vertical leave is beautiful. I like also the little spot of light in background. Congratulations and thanks for sharing Alan.

Another lovely shot Alan!
Nothing to complain about. Perfect quality, very interesting POV and excellent composition.
The light spots in BG are nice bonus as well.

Hi Alan,

What crystal clear short! Focus is spot on and the exposure is too. Colors are lovely and composition is good. This time the sunspots are distracting me as there are too many of them. Other than that; well done & TFS!

Regards,
Pieter

Hello Alan, Sharp details with great colors, DOF & exposure. I like the dappled reflected points of light I see. Very well composed..Great work with the Bigma!

Hi Alan,

Alan, so here it is once more.

Same good points the previous one has.

Maybe, I'd try to get rid of those reflections upon the water, but it's just an opinion. After all, it's a great shot, with or without the reflections.

Superbe présentation, la lumiêre et la netteté sont parfaits. J'aime beaucoup les crystaux de lumière causé sans doute par la pluie ou la rosé.

Félicitations !

Lovely capture, my friend! I really like the shadow of the dragonfly on the broad leaf, it adds a huge element of interest. As usual, your sharpness, color and POV are perfect.

Superb capture Alan, the details, light and composition are very nice indeed. Yes, stars in the bokeh are a nice bonus and set this apart. 8/10 excellent work.

Good work, Alan. Thank you.

"The greatest thing that I've learned is that it doesn't matter whether you love me.
It does matter that I love you.
Once I got that through my thick skull, it was wondrous.
I just walk around with the joy of loving you.
I don't expect you to love me back.
That's wonderful -- no more expectations of "payback."
Sylvia Browne (Excerpted from "It's Your Karma")

I just came back from a wonderfull trip I made in full Nature. No electricity, no news, no TN. I thought of you some times, not always. I am full of gratitude towards Life by writing these little words.

Luc
