[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here is another post from the endangered leopard project.

I will update notes later. (Or I'll be late for work!)
Until then,Here is a link to a previous post on this leopard.

Another week done at the office, and the weekend starts here. The forecast is for a heatwave. No beer session planned, just a relaxing, peaceful weekend.

Back to the Leopard. This was taken at the endangered leopard project I visited last month. These big cats were very shy, and I only had the opportunity to photograph them while they were being fed. Once they had eaten, they disappeared from sight.

Doing these notes after receiving some critiques has been good. I know the selective colouring won't appeal to everyone, but I like to try different things. I'll post the original as a WS.

Thanks for looking, have a great weekend.

Nice picture, would be better with eye contact, personally I'm not too fond of the selective colouring...

Hello Alan!
Very nice post.I like all cats very much and this is a cute one. Thanks for sharing.

hello:) beauty is this one:) I like this much:D great colurs and Dof:) I like it:)

La netteté sur le léopard est très bonne, dommage d'avoir enlevé la couleur et de couper l'arrière train du léopard.
Je préfère nettement la version précédente.
Bravo tout de même.

Hello Alan, nice work. I'm not a fan of the selective colouring...and I can't do it! The cat looks great though. Nice details and pose, shame the back was cut off but it's not a big deal. Good work.

Unusual and beautiful picture for this leopard on a B&W background. Well done ! Thanks for sharing Alan.

Very nice capture with great colours and sharpness/dof . Very good composition.

Natural setting and colors, nough said. ;) ;)
Excellent view and well done on the composition and details.
IMO, backing off slightly on zoom to allow the back in the composition and which would make it slightly smaller, yet able to move the cat left like this one, I think would work as well. Just an opinion and another POV. ;)

Beautiful cat Alan. Well composed with good details and colours. I also like how you've greyed out the BG too, but the WS original is brighter and maybe more interesting. I can see him walking like this through the jungles. Good capture, thank you.

Hello Alan, This big cats on the prowl, you have captured this one with a great POV, details and sharpness. I like the light & shadow about the head..Very well done!

A beautiful capture of this wonderful leopard, Alan.
I think the color enhancement that you have chosen works to make this shot a bit more dramatic, and being one who likes to color-co-ordinate, I like it!
Great composition and thank you for sharing it with us.

Great capture, Alan. I do think I like the full color better since it looks more natural. I had my daughters at the zoo today and had I bothered to take my camera, would have had a similar shot of a clouded leopard. They really are magnificent creatures. Great post!

I think this one is no leopard..looks more than an ozelot
