This is a very pleasing potrait of the grey heron. Details are well captured and the eyes stand out superbly! POV is excellent. If I may say,there are some parts of the image which are a little washed out....but otherwise a really good one!

A perfect capture Joe, the illumination, focus, posture of the heron, of course they are very good, but for me, that enchanting and finely focused foreground which gradually gets blurred as it recedes to the background is really what makes this an outstanding composition. Well done!

At first I thought this was Necip's photo :o) Going to the field with your photographer friends always has this kind of advantages / disadvantages- whatever you call it, you end up with so many photos that are almost the same :o))

Hi Joe,

Very good lighting. Due to the time of the day photo has been made very good details of bird's plumage can be seen. Colors are natural and the image of the clear bird on the blury waves behaind looks great,

Very nice picture of a Heron I didn't know....

This one is very cute with nice natural colors... You got also a great pov and did a good composition... It is a pity for the workshop showing the heron flying but we can see clearly the underwing of it...

Wonderful profile shot with sharp details and spot-on focus. I like the calm composure and the expression on its eye. The ripples in the water really does create a fabulous effect and the small grass stems add colour and natural feel. Marvellous composition. kudos.
