Scrambles!
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Mallards, coots, heaven knows what else. Anyway they're all 'scrambling' for some bread thrown in the reservoir by someone standing near me. for those who don't understand the title, 'Scrambles' was something kids used to shout if they were giving away their sweets, etc, and instead of handing them out politely, they'd throw them up and shout 'scrambles' and it was every kid for himself!
Sorry, this isn't a very educational post, the photo is even quite poor, technically, but I like the sense of chaos, so I thought I'd post it.
Taken at Marsworth Reservoir, near Tring. About 4:30pm, sun setting. Handheld.

Hello Andy!
Very nice colourful capture.Dof you managed,POV,
framing and composition are wonderful.
TFS...:-)
Hi Andy,
Good detail, colours and very sharp.
While not educational, you did well to brave the nutty ducks near bread!. I go to Tring reservoirs quite a bit, and see just how mad the ducks go as soon as food is thrown to them.
Good POV and framing.
Thanks for posting, have a great weekend.

Hi Andy,
It's great to see a post from you again! I already told you that I liked the other picture you shot that day better, but this still is an interesting picture. The movement blur is what makes it interesting. The ducks in the back are very sharply focussed and the colors are just great. In NL kids shout "grabbelen!" instead of "scrambles!". Well done & TFS! Have a great weekend. Chat to you later my friend.
Regards,
Pieter
