[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It's been a very long time since I posted anything on TN, and in the meantime I have revised some of my equipment and spent some time learning new techniques and refining old ones.

Here's a bird portrait from the weekend, taken in woodland edge habitat where I have been feeding the birds all winter to bring them close to the "hide."

A male yellowhammer Emberiza citrinella, photographed in cold conditions and heavy rain. With very poor light, and a 600mm lens, this shot required a sturdy tripod and fill flash, but this allowed me to take photographs in conditions that would otherwise be impossible.
