[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I do have a problem with deer falling asleep when I photograph them. I am never sure whether I should be pleased that they are not concerned by me or just worried that I am that uninteresting! Niek, Suntoucher, has picked up on this. So this photo is to show that sometimes I do find the odd awake deer :)

Hi Karan,

A wonderful capture of these wide-awake deer on the go. This is just marvelous with wonderful colors, sharp details, and a fantastic setting. I love those antlers!!!

Hi Karan,
I'm glad you had more luck this time and found some awake deer :)
Very nice capture of these two who seem to run away from you through the high grassess.
Wonderful colors and contrast.
The deer do stand out greatly against the grassess and dark green color tones of the trees in the background.
Sharpness and exposure are great and due to that details in the ful are wonderful.
Just a little tight cropped on the left hand side, but a real joy to look at anyway.
Thanks for sharing.
Best regards and have a nice Sunday evening,

Maybe they are just moving on to find a more secluded napping spot... or are sleepwalking as Nick suggested! : )

It's a nice sharp image of these pretty deer with the impressive antlers. I agree that the crop is a bit tight on the left side. the dark background really helps showcase the subjects.

Evelynn : )

Hi Emma,
wish it was as easy to find these in the New Forest...they are so elusive and just impossible to spot in such a large area! I will have to wait a few weeks until the Rut, when they don't seem to care who's around.
Anyway, great job here, i like the composition of these two side by side and in a near identical pose...lovely markings and great exposure too, very fine detail.

They are beautiful creatures Karan and I like the dynamism in this picture. Details, POV and composition are very good and so is exposure. Well done :)

Hi Karan,
I had to laugh when I saw the title. I had to laugh even more reading some of the critiques you've received so far. Aint it nice to have some awake deer in your portfolio as well? :) I think you should pleased that they are not concerned by you. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to come up with so many stunning photos.
The details and lighting on these two are wonderful. The dark BG really helps to bring out the beauty.
