[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I have been trying to catch up with my critiques instead.

I often shoot the Red Deer stags so today we have a pretty hind. This hind was quite pale in colour and I thought she looked lovely against the dying ferns.

Red Deer females are called hinds, the males are stags and the young are Calves.

The Fallow Deer females are does, the males Bucks and the young are fawns

Hi Karan

Beautiful POV and composition - I really like the complimentary colour palette - it works very well.

Hi Karan,
A very clear and crisp portrait of the hind.
I like your low POV and the proper focus got on the head.
Exposure and DOF worked pretty well here, it's very good the way the background goes blurred.
Congratulations and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

Hello Karan

She has a matter of fact expression on her face.
The surroundings are wonderful,I tried to capture deer amongst the ferns this autumn,it provides a lovely back drop.
Nicely composed in the frame, with a lovely blurred forest in the back ground.
The lighting is well done and the autumn colours are beautiful.

Lovely capture.POV,colors, framing and visual impact are excellent.TFS

Hello Karan,
A lovely portrait of this beautiful girl!
She is so attentive using all her senses to figure out something, but I don't think it has anything to do with the photographer..?
Anyway... DOF spot on isolates the subject well, the composition is balanced and with attractive seasonal colours!
Greetings,

Hi Karan,
she does look great amongst all the dead ferns, i wonder if they change colour slightly with seasons?
Anyway, excellent composition, perfect depth of fell and sharp detail. Looks like the light wasn't the best but you've done a great job here, very well done.
Have a good weekend,
Paul

Hi Karan.
I am impressed with superb POV again. Excellent selection. Composition is perfect. Charming animal is reflected excellently. Nice turn of the head and attractive glance. Sharpness and details are really amazing as well as so pleasant warm colour palette. I also like very impressive dark BG. Bravo. Great job once more.
Alexei.

Hi Karan,
Reading your question in the forum, I was expecting a photo from your hedgehogs. I am sure a series will follow soon.

This is again a wonderful photo from Richmond Park. I like the way the hind is perfectly blending in with the dying ferns showing the cleverness of nature. The shallow DOF in this photo and isolated the deer perfectly. Detials and lighting are first class.
TFS,
Niek
