You Shall Not Pass!
What a great moment. You were the center of their attention. It looks like you had eye contact with 17 eyes. I like the autumn setting in this photo and the fact that you had a lot of details of the the park in the photo as well. I really like the expressions on the faces of those that are facing you.

That is quite a harem.... but I see two bucks. Leave it to Niek to count the eyes!!! : )
They definitely had their collective eye on you but you responded exactly as they intended. It is a great capture with wonderful fall color. The bit of light green grass behind them really sets them off nicely.

Now i am the one very behind with my critiques :(
Sorry for missing out, but this past week as been a bit mess and sadly it seems as this one will pretty much be the same. Still, i tried hard not to detache myself completly from TN...so i'm back for this lovely capture!
And what a nice pack it is!!! No wonder they wouldn't run away...they feel secure and confident in such high numbered groups.
Still, you did great to quickly unpack and take this shot; it's really terrific! If i'm not mistaken, you've got 7 of them in direct eye-contact with you (with a possibility of extra 2...but they are with their heads turned)...wow!!!...now's that certainly not something you see or manage everyday ;)
Great work with the exposure and DOF, too, keeping good sharpness on all of them.
Bravo and TFS

Hi Karan, you say it is not a great shot but I will tell you it is! The tiny golden leaves in the tree is repeated on the ground and the golden tone is found on the side of the deers. It is beautiful, it looks like pollen dust on them. They all look at ou, being curious or protecting their territory? How to tell. Yet this is such a nice and amusing photo. Thank you!

This looks very like a herd of Impala at first glance - then you see the antlers and oak trees! Lovely composition with good detail. The colour palette here is very effective.

Wow, that is great! I guess they felt safe because they were so many and you were just one!? Anyway, it is a fantastic thing to get so close to the deer, and without them running away. A nice memory to carry with you :)

Hi Karen, how amazing! They are all looking at you, both males and females. It is an unusual shot, they must have been having a very important meeting before you came across them. I don't see anything wrong with the shot, its a good composition as it surprises you as soon as you see it. It could have many captions. I think you caught it with good autumn light and colours, focus and exposure. Hope you got your tea and shrotbread.

This is such a vivid and natural picture! We can see so interesting reactions on the faces of these deers. Beautiful autumnal colours make the picture also pleasant. I like this kind of shot.
Thanks and best regards

You are right. The subject is simply amazing. Especially I like light meadow behind the charming grope. And you are wrong. The shot is perfect. Excellent colours, superb sharpness of the entire image. Framing and composition are perfect too. My compliments and TFS.

Robin hood and his merry band.
You might call this a grab shot but the overall scene is wonderful.
So many eyes gazing upon you.I would have gone the long way too.
Very well focused with good detail and lovely autumn colour.
