Lovely shot of a beautiful deer. I love the way the grasses criss/cross across her. Great info as well.

Hello Paul!
And I see the "deer season" was opened! ;)
Another typically autumn picture and a very nice one! I have to say that as the zoologist I have never seen deer in the wild... :( strange but true... So there is a great pleasure to known that there are someone in UK who can help me to watch this beautiful species in its natural habitat, even if "only" thanks to pictures ;)
Great shot and a very nice continuation of deer saga presented by you during last days!
TFS and my best regards,
Radomir

Hello Paul,
another exceptional shot of a Red Deer from Richmond.
This is one of my favourite deer shots from you.
I really like the blurred, criss-crossed grass.
+++ Very sharp with great details. Brilliant DOF with a good BG and foreground.
Lovely golden lighting. Well composed and a good POV. Nice pose.
--- Nothing :)
Well done,
Joe

hello Paul,
You seem to be also a gifted animal-photographer. This is indeed an excellent shot with a wonderful light and a marvellous composition. The attitude of the deer, the fine crossed grasses make it a very fine and subtle picture.
Thanks a lot

This London park is a place many TN'ers must visit. I can see why. It appears as though you were in my wilderness, under cover and hiding waiting for a deer to come along...yet here you are in the middle of a teeming city. It yet appears to be so natural. You folks must be very proud of that Reserve!
A fine picture gilded with gold from the sun just in the right place at the right time. I sure can tell when someone is intuitive as you clicks the shutter. Nice image Paul

Hi Paul
Phew...initially when i read the title and looked and the picture, i thought i have to see something red among all the green and brown...which is pretty much impossible for me :) But then i read your note and i was relieved :)
Gorgeous shot here with your small zoom lens. I'm guessing it's easier for you to shoot with this one since it's lighter and pretty good in quality of handling...and the results come fast. The clarity of this image is impeccable and i love how the big apperture here perfectly isolated the head from the rest of the vegetation - both from the FG and the BG.
You also were lucky to get such a direct and beautiful patch of light on her head...that really brings her out better and creates a better contrast, emphasizing all the features.
Splendid saturation all around and a most charming composition, too.
Brilliant work.
BRAVO and TFS
Horia
PS: Did you notice that this lens creates an interesting pattern in the BG with some sort of diagonal lines? I think i see a little bit of it here, too. Do you have any idea why?

Yes most deer are pretty skittish. It is always nice when an animal stays still long enough to set the camera. The light in this shot is really nice.

Hi Paul
Wonderful lighting on the deer and grasses. Perfect that it is on her face and then touches of sunlight on the foreground grasses, all fits together beautifully.
Beautiful sharp detail on the deer where needed making her stand out from the grass.
Wonderful image
