Hello Everyone,

It's good to back after a very relaxing holiday in Northumberland! I can recommend the area to anyone who likes to walk, view history and nature, and have a canny meal with liquid refreshment!

Today I am posting a robin! This is a far cry from my normal 'flower photographs' but I hope you will comment on any improvements I may need to make!

At the house at which we were staying, there also lived this cheeky little fellow. We all know that robins are very territorial throughout the year and this one used to trill from his post most days!

He was particularly rotund! I'm sure he was putting on weight for winter but he was ably assisted by the doves' food! Every morning when the doves were fed, he would appear and seemed to join-in!

Thank you for your visit. Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph! :-)

Hello Beverley,
This is a nice composition with this so sweet model! I envy you to have such nice Robins in your country. Ours are less cute I think :) Exposure is natural and you capture a good pose with nice colors; I like this grey background. The bird could me a little sharper IMHO; maybe it could be a little accentuated in PS :) Well done and thanks,
Claudine

Hello Beverley,
Nice to see you posting a lovely bird capture this time! I think you've managed to catch him in a beautiful pose up on his perch. Pretty sharp and fine natural colours. I love the grey background and the composition is excellent!
TFS and regards, Ulla

Hello Bev
An apt title for this lovely Robin..If you were to invert the picture it would almost look like cream running down!!
perfect scene and with the white bg it looks almost christmassy.
Good to have you back and Northumberland sound like it has everything that appeals to me!!
Paul

Hello Bev,

You can see where here/his place is. Take a look at the droppings! Your compo is perfect. Piles are a perfect places for Robins to look over the situation in here/his area. The colours are to seems to be, beautiful. POV, BG and DOF are good. The picture is sharp an has fine details. The framr make the photo complete. Regards and TFS BOB

Hello Beverley, a great little fellow you captured there. We don't have those here in Canada. Great composition and pose of the bird, it's sharp and the exposure is good. I like the workshop that Marie did as it is a bit noisy. But that takes anything from your very good picture. Well done,

Mario

Hello Beverley,

Very nice composition, like the frame too. Godo POV, and excellent DOF. A tad soft, but it is ok.

Warm regards,
Kiran
