Hello Everyone,

Weekend is upon us again, thank goodess! The weather forecast was quite poor but surprisingly, the sky is mackeral and the sun is making valiant attempts to appear; a warm day for November!

Today I am posting a shot of a robin which I took a few weeks ago whilst on holiday in Northumberland. He amused me by the roundness of his body; I don't think I have ever seen such a well-fed individual! My husband compared him to one of his golf balls!

Robins really are my favourite bird and, coming up to Christmas, I have a feeling we will see more of them!

I'm sure robins are so popular because of their character! They have a cheeky habit of coming very close and almost challenging you for being in their territory! We once had a pair who took over our garage, nesting in a plant pot, and reared a family there! Our responsibility was to keep our cats out until the babes had flown the nest!

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed it.

Hi Beverley.
Soft a bit but very nice, tender picture. I like the pictured scene so much. Your horizontal POV is very impressive. Simply and charming subject create a pleasant esthetic impression. Soft light and nice colours are pleasant for eyes too. MY best wishes. TFS.
Alexei.

Hello Bev
I really think that you should have had a bit more patience on this shot and got a bit closer...
You certainly should have had time because i really cant see this lovely Robin leaving the ground!!...The rules of gravity and all that!!
