|Driving home this eveng- was apparently the last we will see of the summer for 2011.. this loan sunflower stood amongst the seeding wild flowers on the edge of the woodlands- a large aperture and a relative fast shutter speed gave a perfect image with the sun just highlighting the petals|

Less is more. Great eye in spotting this solitary beauty & 'last sunflower of summer' - in perfect focus & with a perfect background that enhances it's golden glow to the max. Congratulations on this very well executed composition.
Hi Richard, Very nice and striking image of this loan Sunflower which you have used a little imagination to capture this very nice picture, the yellow stands out well against the dark background, contrasty but very nice to the eye, great effort here Richard and very well seen and well done,
Ciao Richard, nice see you on TN, splendid light on lovely sunflower, wonderful natural colors and excellent sharpness, very well done my friend, ciao Silvio

This picture is very poetical and fine. Your decentred composition is well chosen. Very beautiful how the sunflower collects the sun in the darker environment and looks really like an irradiating sun.
Very well seen.
