Hi Karan,
It certainly does look like a skull! Perfect for Halloween. At first I thought the fungus looked like a pizza. Wonderful shot with superb colors and details.

Hi Karan
A very beautiful macro shot that completes this wonderful series of the the evolution this mushroom.
The subject here looks gret and is nicely illuminated by your good flash management. What i also love is that although the subject is not the only element in focus here, the BG and the surroundings are not distracting - they present their own separate interest and they really boost the colors of this scene.
As for my favorite part - the workshop - is absolutely genious!!! My hat's off to you for spotting that and today is definitely the perfect time to post that. :)
Allright now...i'm off to get dressed and go party ;) You have a great evening, too!
Bravo and TFS

Hi Karan,
This is pretty scary!
Would it be any special meaning, besides the halloween day?
It was so good to see the whole sequence of this fungi grow.
I like so much the warm light of the picture, and all the beauty of the red top part and the scattered white spots.
My compliments and thanks to post it.
Best regards,
JM

Hi Karan,
I really enjoyed the workshop photo and both links too. I had no idea that those round ball fungi that I sometimes see, evolve into something like this. It is a subject that obviously I know very little about. The photo is great though. It is sharp and well exposed. I love the autumn brown forest litter surrounding this bright pumpkin colored fungus. Nice work.

Hi Karen, this is a fine shot with perfect light, details, rich colour and sharpness! The workshop sample is spooky, how apt. Also good to see the life cycle, you have great patience. It has a great pov and is set off beautifully surrouned by the autumn leaves. Great work all round.

Hi Karan,
Wonderful shot with such bright colours and sharp details. The mushroom is interestingly shaped and your choice of title is apt if one goes by the workshop shot. I like the natural surrounding here. Excellent POV and very nicely composed. Kudos.

Hi Karan,
Your workshop photo shows me that you did a very close inspection on the fungi. I'm sure that it I would have missed it completely. I really like this series of the life of this fungi. Its such a great idea to follow its short life span and show is the difference in shape, color and size throughout. I guess that when you consider a next photo you will show us some ugly dark brown mass.
The details and lighting in this photo are awesome. I like the untouched area around the mushroom and the perfect warm colors.
TFS,
Niek

Hola Karan.
Una bonita seta pero imagino que ha de ser venenosa.
Buenos detalles y estupenda luz.
