I think this little fellow is a gosling from a Greylag goose. That is mum in the BG so if anyone can do an ID from a leg... :)

I usually would tru to take a picture without a distracting BG but I quite liked this view.

The greylag is the largest and bulkiest of the wild geese native to the UK and Europe.

I like the way the yellow gosling stands out against the grey background. Focus is good, with plenty of detail and texture.

Hi Karan,
I saw one yesterday and I like these young ones. The head has some yellow and the rest is mostley gray.
Perfect sharpness and details of the young. And I agree with you on the bg, now we can see that the young is never far away from mom.

Hi Karen

A lovely shot - the POV of the gosling is wonderful - as is the detail and saturation.

James

He looks very cute :)
Good portrait with good details, the BG (my opinion only) is a little bit distracting because it is not obvious that it is the mother and it is 'working' only with your explanation.

Hi Karan,

Great shot of the cute Gosling, lovely composition with a fine pose, very good focus on the Gosling's face and I like the BG just showing us mom is not far away, nice light in the eye too.

Sooo cute, so little goslings are always so lovely - and you captured is so sharp and it's nice to see the "shadow" of her mother in the BG. Thanks and many greetings

Lovely image Karan.
The part of the goose is'nt destracting , but adds in this case to the scene.
Wonderful details and clarity in the fur of the little one.
Thanks for sharing.
Best regards, Harry

Hi Karan,
What a cuttie!
I like so much the beauty of its feathers, just changing, and the expression on its face, so elocuent.
A very good idea to include some of his mother to have an idea of what it will looks like then.
Congatulations and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

Hello Hester,
What a cutie!
Superb details in the plumage, fluffy as it is...
Looks like a happy little fellow, most likely fond of being photographed!

Hi Karen,

the DOF is so good here that the gosling looks almost superimposed. I think the BG works as it puts the little fella in context with the his/her surroundings...could be a Canandian Goose, they're alot more common...

Paul

Hi karan,
A beautiful and very cute close up of this little goseling. The details and exposure on the little fellow are perfect. DO have to agree with Elroyie about the BG.

Hello Karan,
This is a very beautiful baby that you captured with nice details and very natural looking exposure. I'm not very good at indentifing legs :))) This is very well done with nice compo. Thanks,
Claudine

Hi Karan,
Beautiful gosling captured. So cute and innocent looking. Nice colours and very impressive sharpness. I like your low POV and the OOF mother as the BG. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

That is a wonderful shot. Gosling for ever. Great detail and character Karan. Well done

Hi Karen.
Absolutly beautiful shot of the little fella. The lighting, DOF, detail, sharpness is all spot on. The brighter yellow of the head really makes him stand out against the background colour and mum.
Wonderful
