In the park near my home there is a croquet lawn which is covered in this lovely tiny yellow funghi. The croquet lawn is fenced off from the general public but fences are made for climbing :) I have been told by a funghi expert (extramundi)that it is a good idea to trim down the grass around the funghi but I felt the dew covered grass was needed in this photo.

I think this is either Clavulinopsis helvola or Clavulinopsis luteo-alba. I suspect it is the first one

Hi Karan,
glad you left the grass around this little Fungi, as it's turned what would've been a very good shot into a magical one. In fact the more i look at this scene as a whole, the more strange and almost other wordly it becomes! Sucj sharp, crips detail and light..that Raynox is going to give you some stunning results, i know it!
tfs and have a great weekend,
Paul

Nick,,
Ps like the bit about fence are made to be climbed.

Hello there, friend, Karan,
For a moment this register fooled me totally.
It looked so very real.
I thought you had mastered the "3-D" art.
Perhaps you have. Or ???
Great photography.
Mario from Canada.

Hello Karan
Very good macro shot. Well composed and exposed. I like also the contrast between the colour of the fungi and the grass.
Thanks for sharing
Ania

hi karan,
a nice yellow touch of the funghi in this picture, but i prefer the dew covered grass, and the play of light and reflection in every single drip.
great sharpness and exposure in this rather unusual composition. well done !

Hi Karan,
Don't tell me you were wearing your high-heeled boots again when you climbed the fence?
The effect of the dew drops around this very small fungi is very beautiful and does give the photo a lot of extras.
Great work on the DOF and sharpness in this photo. How did you get this extreem low POV?
TFS,
Niek

Hi Karen, you did a great job here with the funghi, the dew drops are woderful with great reflections of light. A very pretty funghi too. Your lens certainly did a good job, but this wonderful shot is down to the photographer! Perfect focus and exposure.
