Hello Karan
This is lovely and does to my eye truly represent in colours the cold foggy frosty mornings that we have had lately...you have some fantastic silhouettes here with sun back lighting the scene.
To me this is top work and truly representative of our current weather climate.

Hi Karan,

This was really worth waiting for. I got the chills just looking at it. A wonderful winter scene with so many fine elements. The unusual sky, the sun shining thru, the tall tree and the river running thru it are wonderful.

Everything is covered with frozen moist and the ice on the pond is beginning to form...

Hi Karen, you are really excelling in taking beautiful landscape shots. This one is really stunning and I would say you have a very natural talent with these shots. The range of light and colour in this scene are wonderful, the frosted reeds in the foreground are perfect and the reflection in the water superb all topped off my the hazy, but colourful, sun in the morning sky. A beautiful compositon and all is pin sharp. It is a prize winner composition. Happy Holidays

Incredible image Karan!
The freezing temperature is brought across so well with the frost-covered ground and cool lighting.
Amazing colours that are very vibrent but the thing is that they're natural so it makes them even more amazing!
Superb sillouhette as well.
Great composition and interest.

Hi Karen. Good to see you enjoy your time off two more days yet for me. we had the same sort of sky today about 8am quite odd looking at that time of day.
Your shot of the Small river would make a good picture for a card. so much fine detail with good use of the light. well done TFS.

Hi Karan,
what a great mood you've caught here, i love the colour of that sky. The foreground is very well chosen with those crisp, icey looking dead grasses giving heaps of detail and the strip of water adds some lovely colour where its needed too. A classic winters scene, well done.

I am soon to receive my Cokin ND grads and i've very much looking forward to be able to shoot things like so :)
A very nice and moody picture, with a heavy atmosphere and rather simple colors (not in the bad way). I like it.
I really like its composition - with the careful placement of the tree, the crossing of the stream and the terrific FG elements that really have a unique texture. Very well thought of!

Hi Karan,
I don't think the sun is too bright at all. This is how I see the sun these days as well. The pink sky is really beautiful and adds a warm feeling to this already wonderful photo. The idea of having the dead frosted reet as a foreground element would have never crossed my mind. I like the shape of the old tree and the soft reflection in the didge.

Hi Karan

It seems that you got some stunning pictures of the sunrises and sunsets just before Christmas as well! I too was taking pictures of this sunrise, but it was much foggier where I was and I have yet to post any pictures of it. The Thursday was a better day where I was, but I was driving to work and had not made any arrangements to be late in that day!

What do I like about this picture. The composition is stunning, the foreground is excellent and the the use of the single tree in the hedgerow is inspiring.

Hello Karan,

This must be a very cold day. The whole composition -- sun back lighting, hard frost, dense freezing fog and hoarefrost -- makes this title realy true. A very special atmosphere, it opens up. A beautiful winterlandscape. Have a nce day and TFS BOB
