Hello Karan!
What a cute creature! ;) I like flash control andvery nice DOF and sharpness. "F" was "only 5.6" ut the final effect is very good.

Outstanding shot of this cute Vole. The fur looks awesome and you have used the flash light very deftly. I like the glint on its eye and the calm posture. You surely are doing a great job with these Voles. Excellent low POV and very nicely composed. Kudos.

Your low-down POV is very effective.
Incredibly sharp and detailed.
Flash maybe a bit bright but otherwise the photo is unblemished!

You were lucky that its eye didn't come out red! It seems to be this kind of animal that could have red eyes with flash like squirrels, rabbits or deer :) I love those little ones! They are very cute and you captured it nicely in good action, composition with great details. They always make me smile :))

Hello Karan,
small mammals shots are less than other groups, e.g. larger mammals, birds etc, on TN. You posted some photographs of small ones nicely. This is also great capture for water vole. POV/DOF, composition, eye contact and timing when it fed very nice. good notes. thanks, best wishes

Hi Karan,
That new lens does show its quality. The details in the entir photo is excellent. he flash did workout perfectly, but a external flash might have helped you a little more on softening the shades. I like its pose a lot.

As mentioned last week, hereby the legal protection of the water vole:

Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 in respect of Section 9(4) tightened with ammendments in the CROW act 2001: Legal protection prohibits interference with places used for shelter or protection, or intentionally disturbing animals occupying such places. For example, it is illegal to disturb, alter, or expose the burrow of a water vole.
