Hi Karan,
Beats me on the name of the owl, but it is a beautiful one. You've captured a beautiful pose, showing a stunning character. The lifting of th eyebrow is funny. Great colors and sharpness with perfect brightness in the eyes. Personally I rather see a more natural BG. But, you couldn't help it and with the DOF, you made it good.

si je peux me permettre une remarque,j'en aurais fait un portrait pour eviter de voir qu'il s'agit d'un oiseau apprivoisé pour la fauconnerie.

Very clear photo -- the eyes are piercing! The bands on the leg have a really strange effect on me. I know that the owl flies but those bands plus the perch work against the freedom of the subject. It is a very effective portrait.

My first reaction was to ask you to not tell this UHU abt. my lil squirrels! Then I read the Note, and smiled!!!

I felt less "owly", and started to admire the sharp detail!
The leather straps remind me of those the falkeniers in Arabia use.
