[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have been posting lots of pictures taken on my zoom lens so I decided on a change today and to look at the smaller side of nature. I took this one early cold morning at the local lake. This is just the formations in the ice where the lake had partially frozen

Hello Karan,
This is really interesting. Each of the ice formations have really interesting geometric shapes. It is also a good idea to present them in BW. Good contrast and details. TFS

Hi Karan

What an interesting, refreshing and abstract post!
I really like it!
The composition here with the diagonal simetry is great and it love all those geometrical features in the photos.
The details are great allover and the BG sure makes them even more abstract...in the good sense of the word.
Very beautiful work!

Bravo and TFS

Hi Hester,
Very beautiful assemblage of different geometrical forms, round and linear ones.Your display is excellent.Very good choice also to present the picture in B/W. The shapes appear more graphical.Nature has imagination without limits.
Best regards
Anne

The B&W has worked really well here. I think I like the bottom left one the most.
How are you finding the macro lens? It will probably be the next lens I buy and I'm curious...

Anyway, nicely done and great compilation.

Hello Karan,
This is very interesting and beautiful. Good use of black and white. Those details are really amazing. Di you used a telescope, lol? Like Laurent, I especially like the picture on the down corner right. This is original and very well done! Thanks,
Claudine

Hi Karan,
All you macro works have such a great intimate feeling to it. It just makes me look at it for several times, just to see the beauty nature can create and you are able to capture. The B/W conversion really worked perfectly. My fav....the one at the bottom right. The shapes and light are awesome.
TFS,
Niek

Hola Karan, bellos detalles y magnífico trabajo, bonito trabajo y singular presentación... saludos

Nice collection Karan the crystalised ice is superb nice and sharp. Good contrast tfs rgds Necip

Hester,

I just love this collage effect. Each shot compliments the other and B&W is definately a good choice.
I've done a few abstract shots and on their own look kind of out of place.
I've got to learn to 'shop then I guess the world will be my lobster.

This is a really nice presentation Karan. B & W works perfectly here and you manage a great value range. The patterns are wonderful and exposure and sharpness are right on.
