[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My apologies for the title but just couldn't resist the pun when this Dunnock perched on top of the fence post where the top cap had rotted away just leaving the nails showing.

This one of my favourite birds, the pair that inhabit my garden have become quite used to me and will feed around my feet.

The Dunnock (Prunella mdularis) is a common but often unnoticed bird, found in woods hedgerows and gardens. It quietly feeds mostly on the ground searching for insects and seeds. Its song is sung from exposed perches in the spring and is a joy to listen to.

Taken through double glazing, cropped by 25%, adjusted levels.

Hello Bill,
Well nailed!
Fine capture of a Dunnock from an ideal POV if it were'nt for the nails, but your title makes up for that.
Fine sharpness and natural colours with excellent eye contact.
Thanks and have a good weekend,

LOL You certainly did nail it. Great natural presentation of this Dunnock. We use to call these "common sparrows" back home when we saw them or anything that looked remotely like them.

Really like this

Hello Bill
