Hello all,
I've finally got another new photo to share with you all. I got this photo of the greenfinch in my back garden. It came quite close and seemed to pose for a bit and I got some good shots but I liked this one the best because it looks framed by the branches.

Taken from RSPB.org.uk

Latin Name: Carduelis chloris

Its twittering and wheezing song, and flash of yellow and green as it flies, make this finch a truly colourful character. Nesting in a garden conifer, or feasting on black sunflower seeds, it is a popular garden visitor, able to take advantage of food in town and city gardens at a time when intensive agriculture has deprived it of many weed seeds in the countryside. Although quite sociable, they may squabble among themselves or with other birds at the bird table.

Where to see them
A common countryside bird found in woods and hedges, but mostly found close to man on farmland and in parks, town and village gardens and orchards. Only absent from upland areas without trees and bushes.

When to see them
All year round

What they eat
Seeds and insects

Hi Sion,
Well done my friend! Good razor sharp image of the Green finch!Nice warm colors. Would be nice to see the background even more blurred, but as far as I can see that's impossible with your current Lens. But Well done! It is a difficult shot!

Hi Sion,

A nice capture of this Greenfinch - a bird we do not have here in Tucson. We do have an abundance of House Finches and they do resemble each other. You show off his unusual colors very well. I love how he is framed by the branches.

Hello Sion,
A great shot of this beautiful little finch. I must admit I have never seen one in the wild, but your photo shows this particular one off very well. Super detail and very attractive colors. Nicely composed with excellent exposure. Super job!!
