[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today I have another picture of a bird in my garden. This time I was in my room when I heard him singing so I quietly opened my window and luckily enough he was in the open so I managed to get a few pictures.
Hope you enjoy.

This once common sparrow has undergone a mysterious decline in Britain and is now on the red list of endangered British birds. It is still common in some areas but its population has decreased by 64% in recent years. The decline of numbers may be due to their not being enough insects for their young during summer.

Very good Sion, your sense of composition is brilliant here. Lovely natural colors and fantastic light.Perfect contrast settings as well.I would advice you to use the maximum aperture on your lens, whenever you can! But overall, I think good job my friend !

Hello Sion,
This Sparrow is a real beauty. You photographed it in pleasing light conditions. The colours are very beautiful, also in the rest of the photo. Good sharpness, nice eye-contact, excellent composition.

Hi Sion,

A very nice shot of the house sparrow, nice focus and colours. I like the composition and background. You've managed to get a nice catch-light in the eye. Lucky you for having them around, I moved about a year ago and have not seen a house sparrow at my new home at all, you tend to miss their chatter after having them around for a long time.

TFS, have a nice weekend, regards Bill

Hi Sion
Great capture this little sparrow!
Details are amazing and colors perfcet!

Hello Sion,
Very good environment, excellent achievement of detail in the bird, the light is difficult but well resolved. I think the cut was too equilateral, better would have been something more rectangular. But that is a matter of taste! good job. TFS

Hi Sion,

A lovely shot of this House Sparrow posing so nicely on the branch. You were so lucky he didn't fly away when you opened the window. I just have to touch the shutters and the birds are gone. Ours look just like yours but there is no sign of decline of the species. Nice natural colors and good details - I love the eye. A lovely setting and composition.
