Taken on Skomer Island.

Skylark - Alauda arvensis.

It's voice is it's best distinguishing feature. It's song is loud and continuous, and most often sings while rising vertically into the air (sometimes sings from ground or perch). It's flight call is a liquid chirrup.

Size: 18 - 19cm (7")

Nice one Gary. I like this, the Skylark is very sharp, and the colours are great. And the bug in its mouth is an added bonus. Well composed, well done.

Hello Gary

Nice crystal clear shot. I like the BG colour. Fortunate to capture him with his catch. Good POV, excellent details and great catchlight in the eye. Well done. Thanks.
