Wonderful in-flight shot of the goose. Superb colours and sharpness. I love its angular pose as well as the light and shadow effect on its wings. The BG is excellent. Very nicely composed and framed. Kudos.

Without comparing it with the first one in the series in view of its own unique features, I would consider this as a great shot in its own right, Simon.
The trees in the BG definitely give it a natural look and the dappled light on the wings in this shot is simply marvellous. Such finer touches to the image in addition to its technical excellence are worthy of notice and unlimited appreciation.
Your communication with me on the effective use of certain features common to all good DSLRs should be very useful to all members of TN wishing to learn from you.

This is a beautiful capture of this nice bird. This movement is very well frozen and I like this exposure, details, POV and composition. It is gliding all right and you even caught this beautiful light in its eye, congrats!

One of my favourite subjects.The Canada goose in flight is beautiful.Very good sharp detail right down to the droplets of water off it's foot.Very good DOF and POV.The OOF BG is well done.Nicely composed in the frame.TFS

Hello Simon,
Nice shot, unusual POV but it gives a good clear view of the wings and markings. The crop is a little tight I think but that's more personal taste. I think the trees are a good addition, much better than a plain sky. They're sufficiently OOF, I think they're fine. Good info on the D200 AF, although when using single area focus can you not select which of the 11 areas you want to use?

One of my favourite types of shots to see and take. Your clarity and wing stop is so good. Especially for 1/750 Focal point on both front and back of goose is well seen.

Trees as a BG are often looked perfectly. Your case is the same. Excellent picture at esthetic and technical respects. POV, sharpness, colors, pose of the bird, DOF are very nice. My compliments and best wishes.

At first you had a fully stretched wings, not you have a fully stretched tail :)) [flaps on :)) ]
This too is a splendid in-flight and, to answer your other question mark from the note, the trees in the BG really give it a more "earthly" feel...it also feel faster in speed because of the low-altitude flying :)
The details on this one are really fantastic, too and i thinkg that due to the very little relaxation of the wings you got a bit better POV for the feathers - they have such a splendid contour here which really stands out nicely, making a natural eye-pleasing contrast.
The DOF is again impeccable and the exposure brilliant, balancing both the subject and the BG very well.
Once again: a superb composition, my friend!

Outstanding inflight shot! You were working with some dificult color combinations and the exposure is spot on! Great composition. Incredible sharpness and detail. The eye is outstanding. A favorite!
