[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Went to the river this evening and got this shot of the Ladybird, had to stand waist high in Stinging Nettles to get it. I hope that it was worth it.

7 Spot Ladybird ( Coccinella 7 punctata ) Length 6mm.
Familiar Ladybird widespread and often abundant. Elytra are reddish orange and with wings closed show 7 black spots. Both Adult and Larvae feed on Aphids making them the friend of the gardener. Adults hibernate in winter and are active from March to October.

It is the day for seven-spot ladybugs I think. Very nice shot with perfect composition. Excellent exposure and nice color. Razor sharp and great details. Wonderful background and outstanding DOF.

Hello Nicholas,
I had always a trouble to use flash, because sometimes it reduce my shots in two dimensions, and falses colors. But it is evident that it exists a right way to use it, as you showed. Beautiful, sharp & clean, what else...?
