Hi Joey
An excellent shot - great focus and detail with lovely colours. This shot must have taken a lot of time and patience to achieve - kudos!
I get these in my garden - they fly into the office and Janice - my PA runs out shrieking (followed by me)!

Hi Joe,
looks wonderful, I like the frame filling and tone in tone composition.
The details are very nice and the neutral BG does show off this insect very well.
POV, sharpness and tight crop look great.

Hi Joe ,
great macro with excellent details.
colour is amazing.
nice capture.
Best Regards

Where do you find all of these? Do you have to travel far or are they close by? Do you set your camera on a tripod and wait or do you do it on the spur of the moment, hand held?
The dominant color is green which is much better use of the color than I have been using for a couple of days. You did well with it. And as to the cropping. I feel that your use of it is done very correctly as opposed all of the full body shots. It is nice to have a choice.

Great shot Joey.
Its always good to see what the S3 IS can achieve. I've yet to master it.
Great detail and colour.

So this is an Emperor and not a Vagrant Emperor (which I shot and posted recently), Joe.
Apparently, it is a totally different species altogether.
Since this one is green all over, it must be the female of the species.
Very good point of view, focus and details on the partial image within the frame.
TFS.

Hi Joe, I like the over all green appearance of this image. Close composition works well here in the square frame. well done.
Hello Joey,
This is a very original POV and composition. I love those tones of colors, this is very harmonious. I think that details could have been a little sharper with a faster shutter speed as it looks like you or the insect might have moved slightly. This is a great shot anyway :) Thanks,
Claudine

Beautyful, just beautyful. Great colors and details, a little overexposed on the trunk.
How much is this insect long? I tried to do some macros with my S3IS, but with little results....
Well done!
Samuele
