Hello Joe,
a fantastic view and amazing colours! It's a pity that depth of field is rather narrow so that the frontal parts are not so sharp as desirable. Neverhteless marvelous.
Best wishes, Peter

Hello Joe
It is so nearly a perfect picture..if just the front of him was sharp...the colours and background are rich and perfect. Great work
Best Regards
Paul

Hi Joey,
an eye catcher, perfectly well approached from an eye-to-eye level point of view. A little problem here is the short depth of field at f/3.5 that did not allow to include the tip of the head within the zone of sufficient sharpness. But the deeply saturated bright colours emerging out of the darkness, and the very strict composition make this image look very powerful - quite iconical, and well worth to be looked at closely, and to be enjoyed.
With thanks, and best regards,
Peter

Hi Joe. As many have said shame about the DOF. but a great POV to give a good close up. with rich colours . well done TFS.
Nick..

have a good sunday.

Hi Joe,
that's abstract and with beautiful colours.
You were very close, so sure that DOF can't be everywhere - but you managed to have this wonderful result with brilliant colours, I like it, thanks

A pesar de perderse algo de enfoque en la cabeza, la originalidad y los bellos colores de la toma hacen que esta pase casi desapercibida. Buen fondo y detalles. Foto diferente a lo común.
Saludos Joe.

Gidday Joe,
This shield bug looks positively mean like this, but we know he's just a harmless sap sucker don't we?
Great super macro.
Not much DOF but good colour and perspective.
Well done.
Steve

Your a dangerous feller Joey, withe the super macro. Great image with some fine personalty and detail. Colors look even better in closeup. These insects have a good makeup artist as well.
Bob

You outdo yourself - just when I think this is the best, you do smoething better. This is going into my favorites folder...yeah, the dof is a bit narrow but the details you captured and the pov are incredible!
WOW!
I don't know how old you are but I think you're very young. If you're this good at your age, I can imagine you'll be in magazines and galleries someday!

Hello Joe,
Taking a shot of a shieldbug from this POV is both interesting and challenging. I'm by no means an expert user of flash but would have thought that it would allow a considerably smaller aperture and give you a better DOF. Otherwise it is a fascinating image.
TFS,
Best wishes, Ivan

Hi Joe, I really like this one. The colours are very intense and the shallow DOF works here because the eyes are in focus (I personally would like a little more DOF to get the head in). I think it looks quite menacing like this and the contrast of the vivid green and red really makes it pop. Well done.
