Hello Karan,
Action is well captured!
Typical situation with 2-3 females laying around and more near by...
A fine composition with great colours and shap details... as always!

Excellent description of its unmistakeable sound ;D
Superb action shot that gives an excellent sense of power from this roaring Stag. He seems to have had a few fights in his life due to the large bald patches on its side! ;)
+++ Well saturated colours and great contrast.
Perfect lighting that allowed you a half-decent shutter-speed
to capture this animal with perfect sharpness, conserving all the detail.
Excellent composition, POV and (of course) pose.
Good DOF that isn't too shallow or too deep; it shows the rest of the Stag's harem clearly but not too clearly that it distracts from main subject.
--- Nothing :)
Well done Karan,
Joe

As ever, your timing is perfect and your composition lovely. I love the natural feel to the setting here. Great job on the exposure too, very well done.

Hi Karen. I've been spending quite a bit of time in RP myself lately. It's a shame the trees haven't taken on their Autumn hues as yet for a really good backdrop. It's good you got this animated capture. Good work.

Hi Karan,
Excelelnt shot of these reed deer, presumably taken in Richmond Park. I hoping to get over there the weekend after next. Anyway, you have picked your moment well to capture him in hollow. Good colours and lighting and a really good dof.
Kind regards,
Mike

Hi Karan
I don't know which one of the two photos is more impressive...i love them both!
This one here but this magnificent stag in fron and presents him entirely - with his massive body in comparison to the females.
The one in the WS is probably a bit more expressive than this one. It almost feel...louder! I think it has a bit more impact on me since it's a little different than the most photos of deers...which usually have a side POV, or if they actually do present them from the front, the subjects have a standing posture.
Allright...taking about it, i made my mind :) I LOVE the workshop one!
Anyway, truth be told, both of them are impeccalble from the technical point of biew.
Great sharpness in both, splendid DOF that isolates the subject perfectly and a superb composition.
Wonderful work!
Bravo and TFS
Horia
PS: thanks for the replies. It's good to know i've got your name right all these months :))

Hi Karan,
Two really awesome photos. The moment on both are perfect. Love the facial expression in both photos and the clear signs of the transition in the posture and shape of the stags. The long grass and and the dark Oak trees in the BG make for a beautiful scenery.

Niek
