The second largest cat in the America's, the puma, is also known as the Mountain Lion. For more information about pumas, I suggest the following link: http://home.globalcrossing.net/~brendel/puma.html

This image was taken at the Santago Rare Leopard project - a breeding program for rare leopards and big cats, not in the wild. For more information on the Santago Rare Leopard Project, read the travelogue on this site called "Santago Rare Leopard Project"

Hola Dan: It is pleasant to enjoy this creature, well-known as mountain lion, I enjoy the details and colors of their beautiful skin, finely captured in this image, I like the target captured in the mouth and in the mustaches. You captured their soft factions and it seems pensive or submerged in their thoughts. Cordial greetings. *Ninfa Urania*

Very good, sharp image. You've made a superb job of getting the fur textures.

Very sharp and clear Dan, good work.

Very nice picture of this big cat Dan. The well blurred background really sets him off in a nice way. Very clever use of dof and very nice colours.

A wonderful capture, Dan. The intense stare, smooth coat and DOF are all excellent. Nicely framed.

Beautyfull photo.

Exelent work

Do you know that the cougar (puma) also belongs to the cat fanily called "gold cats"....the same family the caracal is belonging to. Although the caracal is named "lynx" it only shares the ear tufts with the real lynx.

great image Dan !
Very good details but I think that it will be usefull a warming of the colors and some brightness to ...

Hello Dan,
This portrait is showy and beautiful simultaneously. I like the calm glance of puma towards the flank. The details and fit are very good.
Best regards
