It is all in the pose...She is a poser! I suppose she hangs out at the Mall as well...what is the aviary world coming to? Rhetoric all the same..I love these small birds so delicate...It has a gentle quality to it..the picture as well as the bird.

The pose of this bird is amusing, almost as if it is up to something, about to cause some sort of mischief - but that really adds an adorable factor. The bird is in sharp focus, the dof is a wonderful color contrast, and the pov is fun. I can almost hear it chirp.

Hi Nick, very nice and interesting pov on this female Chaffinch. I managed to get a couple of shots of the female last week, but it didn't manage a good exposure. This is perfect with nice soft and detailed feathers, all set against a perfect bkg and good dof.
