Lulworth Crumple: that's a good name and you certainly captured the essence of it. Nice composition of the calm rock pool leading to the main subject, these dramatic limestone rock foldings and the light in the sky sets it off nicely.

great photo. really nice lighting and fantastic composition. nice and sharp and focused too. great detail, i really like the crazy lines along the cliff at the back, the green adding some subtle color and the overall softness/calmness to the pic. great job capturing it for us to see. thanks for sharing

Just superb...your framing is spot on with a perfect blend of fore, mid and background..Your note is superb and explains this fascinating rock formation perfectly..Bloomin interesting stuff!!
The only thing that I would mention though is that the fence at the top really detracts from the picture and my eye tends to look at it now i know its there....Im not sure if you could (or would want to for that matter) clone it out?...just my opinion mate...apart from that to me its another stunner from your goodself.

What an interesting contrast of sharp wavy lines and smooth water. An interesting almost contradiction in photography...This is either something I have never noticed before in images, or perhaps not seen, at least to my memory. And it definitely sticks out right away when I opened from thumbnail to larger. I have no idea of how to define, nor critique such a thing, as it is new..but certainly worth noting...Fine image...new ideas!

This is a real beauty! I apparently missed your shots from the summer (with my US trip and all) and so this is a breath of fresh air from me - something new and very interesting...something that definitely inspires me!
I'm actually amazed you held this one in your archives for sooooo long :) It really deserved to see the TN light.

The composition here is wonderful and the elements that make it are stunning, one by one.
Surely, the 'Lulworth Crumple' is absolutely unique and it gives and excellent size scale in your photo. It also brings an extra set of power and atmosphere, considering what it really is and what it resulted from.
However, i would definitely not exclude the FG here which i think is very well chosen - rather bright with lovely colors and textures - to contrast well with the rest of the lines in the scene and to raise the color palette of the entire image.
All-in-all i want to say this is an excellent work, with or without that small fence there - that you and the other Paul have talked about. By the way, reading your conversation, i also want to wish you the best of luck for the upcoming weekend ;)

Hi Paul, the composition in your pictures always impress me, as does the wide angle perspective. I love the tight framing on this one, leading the eye directly in the foreground after playing with those rounded rocks, softly coloured water and moss. I love the background with the very linear patterns to contrast with the rest. This is a beautiful and very special place. Thanks!

It definitely a "crumple"! What a wonderful descriptive word. Wonderful exposure and sharpness. The colors are lovely and the composition strong with nice foreground elements. I think I would feel more comfortable with a slight rotation to the left. Perhaps the water was really flowing to the right but seeing such a small section of the scene makes it appear slanted.

Amazing what you find there down the coast! This view of this geological phenomena is fantastic. I like the POV very much and the rocks covered with mosses and sea weed. Great DOF and wonderful colours. Interesting note too.

Another wonderful shot ! You gallery is a real pleasure for the eye. On this one, I like the shape and the lines on the rock in the BG. I don't know how you manage to keep churning out these marvelous pictures. The geology is wonderful here and you have reflected it beautifully. I actually like the fence as it give a sense of scale. Great shot.

Forget that fence... It becomes very difficult to take landscape pictures without any trace of human beings. And a fence today is almost part of our nature...

I like this beauty very much. It wears your signature: low point of view, a great depth of view and wonderful patterns and shapes.

Hi Paul,
I think I remembered your first photo. Isn't that the one where Steve mentioned to use the yellow flowers as an FG interest? Paul did made a good note, about the fence, but I can't see you chop it away and rebuild it after the shot. It isn't bothering me that much, it blends with the scenery pretty good. As always you composition is perfect and the silky touch on the water does give it your trademark signature. I really like the bright greens in the FG.
