Your so good at this...although I did like the first one...there seems to be a series coming:-) Very nice...make a movie out of them Paul. Very nice images and great lighting!
Superb capture of these beautiful Sika Deer looking very alert! Wonderful backlight and great sharpness showing the lovely pattern and colours of their coat. Some animals are real survivors and create a big problem, like the Wild Boar here. The problem is really the population explosion, man takes over everywhere!
TFS and cheers, Ulla

Hi Paul, lovely natural image, the details and colours are first rate. Unfortunately, culling has become a part of the existence of wild life. The usual excuses being economic to cost of damage.

After returning from a day that only you may start to guess was like, this makes it better by far. The words do justice to the outstanding shot also that makes me wish we were there again. No worries though the weekend approaches.........

We're having the same problems as you do with the deers and the chosen solution is to reinsert wolves in the forest. They have started doing it in Ontario, I think in Rob's area, and it seems to be working. Anyhow, your picture is stunning, beautiful, there are no words. You are a great photographer and the light here is giving an aura of intimacy and we feel the timidity of the animals. And, this light is fantastic, clear as crystal, your picture is a wonder. Wow, Paul, it's a pleasure to contemplate your photos.

Selamat pagi Paul,
The BG and FG lights had made the Sika Deer (Cervus nippon) image is awesome!
Wonder how could the bodies became blur. Were they moving, a little bit?
Best regards from Indonesia

Great use of the minimal lighting. excellent colors and details. I like the slhouette of the popping out ears of all of them. Great composition. It was nice to have their attention while you captured :)
Nicecpature of the ladies here.Did you say they are spreading in number...wow...i do not know thier status in India but i also do not think they are as much in number out here.
I like the soft well lit Bg and the curiously staring females here who seem to be wondering what are you doing...I wish we could aslo get that fourth one who is just about moving out, but then that is how they behave when they are in groups and quite difficult to get a real clean shot...I like the details on the deers although tyhere is nt much light falling on them.
Very well done.
TFS & Cheers
P.S: Had send you a message regarding one of your posts....did you recieve it?
Great lighting and composition in this shot, Paul!
These Sika Deer show a beautiful alert pose while the fourth member of the group is more intent on disappearing. Amazing sharpness at 75 m and a nice composition.
Arne nature reserve is well known for the Dartford Warbler, but you probably know that already.
I wish it would rain here!

First I hate it when a man made problem gets a man made solution that involves the killing of animals. Why not sterlize them and let them live out their lives. OK now that I vented, your image is truly one of beauty sharp, well composed and once again incredible use of light. Thanks for sharing my friend.

What a delightful picture with these beautiful Sika Deer! This is the first time that I hear of this kind of deer. I like the lights and shadows, beautiful colors and splendid composition and presentation.
Thank you very much for sharing.

This is a beautiful and serene shot. I love the light and the wonderful eye contact here. I have never seen these deer myself. I do agree with the problems of over-population, we have damaged the balance of our eco-system. There has also been widescale shooting of foxes in the farmland around here. You should now see the rabbit population!

I really like this shot! It is so smooth, yet sharp and detailed! The lighting is great, I also have the Sigma 70-300mm APO.. you must have had to get quite close to get a shot of this quality!
