I thought I'd post a droplet today seeing as I haven't for a while. Here you can see some distorted ivy in the reflection :-)

I hope you like it!

A drop or droplet is a small volume of liquid, bounded completely or almost completely by free surfaces.

The simplest way to form a drop is to allow liquid to flow slowly from the lower end of a vertical tube of small diameter. When the pendant drop exceeds a certain size it is no longer stable and detaches itself. Drops may also be formed by the condensation of a supercooled vapor or by atomization of a larger mass of liquid.

The term droplet is a diminutive form of 'drop' - and typically used for liquid particles of

Hello Joe,
simple and lovely composition with marvellous colours and wonderful reflection,
tfs.

Hello Joe,
Splendid and fantastic shot of this natural droplet:)
Great clarity on its surface. I can see some object from the reflections. It also includes a landscape:p.
Simply I loved this shot my friend.
Well done OwlMan :-)
Cheers,

Bayram

I have always been stopped dead in my tracks when I see this type of image. And as I recall you do them quite well.....You know....there are so many things which can be said about water droplets both in science as well as in philosophy and symbolism. Almost as a mandala, they have a tendency to slow down the mind...not sure if it is vibrational or simply patterns or a combination of both, but it works VERY well here Joey!

Hi Joe,
Good sharp shoot, nice, artistic composition, very good quality.

Hi Joe,

I don't remember the last time I saw a water droplet on a plant. Any week now and we should have some rain! Very clever and very artistic shot. I love the various shades of green.

Hello Joe

Just marking the post for now

Rob

Droplets make a fascinating theme, Joe, and you have captured this one quite well.
In the beginning of my participation on TN, I had also posted such a picture with the droplet working as a mirror.
Sabine is an outstanding contributor to this theme though she is now quiet on TN.
Well done and TFS.

Nicely done Joe, a classic water droplet shot! You need real sharp crystal quality to make this kind of shot work and you've done that here - well done. Good greens too...

You're amazing Joey. This is perfect, beautiful, graceful, cristal clear and so enjoyable to look at. I feel in this picture all your intensity, precision, professionalism and love of photography. One has to love it to take the time and patience to learn the skills and to develop its aesthetic eyes. Thank you so much for your fantastic contribution on this site, for the example you show us all about photography and that talent doesn't come with age ;) but with the patience to develop its gift.

Hi Joe,

Very good that practising photography in the rainy days too. Makes life easier if you just adjust. Anyway, excellent picture of this droplet. It is amazing what kind of shapes and colours macro shots can bring alive. Excellent POV, DOF and lighting. Great work Joe!

TFS

Best wishes
