Hello Paul,
Great to have you posting again.
This really is a lovely animal and you have captured all the tonal details of his coat, as well as the details of his features very well.
Good off-centre composition for this very alert fox.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Your tonal finesse is showing:-) You play the camera like a fine tuned instrument Paul. It looks as if I were standing right there next to the fox. It is your eye and the real great way Canon handles these situations...I suspect the extra for APO lens is an addition...Nicely posed...nice contrasting colours...great contrasts!

Hi Paul,
Frodo looks very healthy and well cared for. I also am not a zoo fan but if they are well managed and give the animals room to explore I suppose they are ok. They can sensitize people to want to help wildlife as a whole I think.
Your image is wonderfully sharp and well exposed. The colors are rich and I like the more natural pose... not staring at the photographer.

Hello Paul,
Categories: waterplants?;-).
Beautiful image! I do like the natural light. I guess this is either morning or evening light.
The posture/moment is well chosen. The Red fox is definitely focused.
Well done

Hello Paul,
Beautiful capture of this Fox in a lovely pose. I love the light and the colours and details are very sharp too. My best memories of Foxes are from Dorset where we had a Fox's den very close to our house and could watch the mother and her five young through our window!
I hope the weather stays nice for you! We've got lovely weather too but the rain is coming in this weekend!
TFS and cheers, Ulla

Hi Paul,
I developed a deep dislike of zoos after seeing animals free in Africa. This might be a place I would like. Frodo is a beauty and you captured him in all his glory. The colors and details of his face and coat are magnificent. I love those eyes!!!! The setting and composition are beautiful.

Hi Paul.
First of all I am impressed with great scene at whole and fantastic rich colours. Pictured scene is very touching, pose of the fox and its glance are amazing. I like perfect timing and composition of the image. Details of the fine grass and all features of the sox are ultimate. Brownish BG is superb too. Well done and best regards.

Hello Paul
Frodo seems to be very occupied with something up in the air. Maybe a bird in a tree that could perhaps become lunch? It is a good zoo photo as you do not show any of the normal zoo stuff we sometimes see on zoo photos and the fox's pose is lovely with that fixed stare and body that looks like it is ready to swing into action. The colours are strong and the composition is good. Thanks for showing.
Greetings

Hi Paul,
This Frodo is a star here on TN :)! This is an excellent portrait with beautiful colors, composition and details! I had the chance to see a wild fox recently during my vacations in Mont-Tremblant National Park but couldn't manage to take a picture as he disappeared in a wink of an eye. You are lucky to have nice weather. Our short summer here is execrable with rain, cloudy sky, thunderstorms, etc... Greetings,
Claudine
