2 just-fledged Blackbirds (Turdus merula).
I woke up Sunday morning to find these 2 fledgelings on my lawn. I knew there was a nest close by because the adult blackbird (photo to follow) had been visiting a lot digging for worms. They spent most of the day in my garden, not moving a lot because they aren't used to flying, and they probably got tired trying. I was therefore able to get quite close and take my time taking a few shots, most of which you'll see soon, watch this space!

Heya Andy,

This is a very nice picture. I really like the low POV; you must have been flat on your belly! You're lucky tohave such a beautiful lawn! I also like the oof gras in the fg a lot. And ... they have the important catchlight in the eye. Well done & TFS!

Regards,
Pieter

Ps-I also like your new tag (signature)!

Well done seeing these two wee babes. They are almost hidden by the grass. Nice job. Thanks
