Hello Everyone,

I'm pleased to be back with you all again.

This is a shot of a celendine. These pretty yellow flowers, with shiny, yellow petals like those of the buttercup, are a delight when they appear in late March. They provide large carpets of yellow which brighten up the edges of many pathways.

They like moist places and can seed into such areas in gardens. They are considered a weed but I'd be happy to have this pretty flower gracing my garden.

I have included some pertinent information from the Royal Horticultural Society. If you would like to read it, please click here.
Many thanks for your interest.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Hi Beverley.
Only few day ago I have pictured these small flowers on my countryside garden. However, I did not know are they cultivated or wild. I am very pleased to see this species at your nice photo as well as to read the note. You have created a true art with this flower. I like POV and composition of the picture a lot. Colours are natural, rich and fine. DOF and details are also great. Well done and my kind regards.

Hy Bev
In my oppinion, you did a good job with this flower, especially with the yellow color of the petals. Often I have problems with the bright colors when are in full sun.Interesting frame also!
Regards, Oana

Hello Beverley,
I like the POV taken of this macro of the Celandine flower, with fine sharpness and a DOF that allows it to float against the OOF natural BG, the inner frame that you skillfully inserted making the flower kind of hang on to it :).
Nice one and thanks for sharing it,

Hi Beverley,
thanks for visiting my post and give a very motivating critique.
Very lovely flower in superb bright yellow. The framing is attractive and it gives a very enhancing effect to the shot.
Well composed with blurry backgound, making it stands out.
