Hello Everyone,

Today, I am posting a shot of a pretty, spring flower from the genus pulmonaria, called lungwort. I believe that it acquired this name as it has been used in the treatment of lung diseases.

The speciment that I photographed had only just opened. Most of the flower buds are still closed in their hairy sepals. I chose this example so that I could photograph into the flower. When they are a little older, they tend to hang down like bells.

The leaves are easy to identify as thet are covered in attractive spots.

I have added an Internet link giving more information about the flower. If you would like to access it, please click here.

Many thanks for spending time on my photograph.
Please feel free to feedback on any aspect of the shot. Bev :-)

Hello Beverly,
You post a beautiful little wild flower with wonderful detail and excellent exposure!!
I believe this is a new plant to me. From your notes it doesn't look like they grow here in the States, but are native to Europe and Asia. TFS.

Hallo Beverley
This is really beautiful and has "Spring is in the air" written all over the image. The finer details captured is delightful and soft on the eye. The image as a whole has a feminine touch to it and is presented in a most pleasing manner. Colours is portrayed excellently and sharpness and focus is first class. I just love the way the leaves is creeping out of the frame. Splendid idea! A beautiful composition which I enjoyed and appreciated. Thanks for sharing and best regards.

Hi Bev,
as always your trademark framing really makes this shot pop out of the screen! Very nice bright, lively lighting and some great details and colour too. DOF is also good, adding to the 3D effect, well done.

Hi Beverley,
a lovely flower isolated among the haitr buds. Really stands out and the light put it clarity and sharpness in a very briliant mode and sharpness.
Well positioned among the the green, that make the purple stands out beautifully.

Hi Beverley.
Stunning close-up. I am sure flower is rather small. Especially I like your frame. It is amazing and suitable for picture perfectly. DOF as well as details of the flower and leaves are great. Colours are fie too. And combination of sharpness (of the main subject) and blurriness of the BG also is very impressive. Well done and TFS.
