[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,

Today, I am posting a shot which I took last week during a particularly strong rainstorm.

In response to the raindrops beating on the glass, I looked towards the door. There, on the edge of the glass was a very wet snail! Was he knocking to come in!

I presumed, because he could have disappeared into his shell, that he he was enjoying the wet weather. After our mini, heat-wave, the rain was probably washing away the dust and allowing him to glide more easily on his huge foot.

I used this unusual border to state more clearly that the snail was on a pane of glass in a door.

Many thanks for your interest.
Please feel free to feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Hi Beverley. We dont see many snails on TN. The rain seems to show this one of so well. You have taken a fine shot throught the door in the rain. The colours are spot on as with fine detail in the brown shell and body. well done TFs.

Hello Beverley,
A fine rainy capture of the Common or Garden Snail. (I'm not sure, but I think this is the origin of that phrase.) Though the sharpness and DOF are not the best this is about the best one could get with those light conditions and the rainy effect is great with the softness adding to the wet effect.
Thanks and all the best,

Hi Bev:),
What a superb portrait of this snail.Great POV and details.TFS.

Hello Beverly,

This is one from a time that each of us nature enthusiasts encounter. And imagie even staying indoors you are gifted with such brilliant opportunities.

A very artistic composition ...i love the water droplets on the pane that transfer the atmosphere to the viewer. And despite the galss the details are very well captured and presented with good clarity and fine colours.

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful rainy day treasure...
