Hallo Dieter,
Farbenfrohes Sommerbild, dessen von Dir beschriebenen Mängel gar nicht so sichtbar sind. Es ist eine schöne Widderchen-Art, die ich im Wallis bis jetzt nie gesehen habe, obwohl die Blume weitverbreitet ist.
Der gräuliche Hintergrund passt sehr gut zu Blume und Z. fausta.
Wünsche ein schönes Wochenende.
Kannst Du mir sagen, wann es Dir für eine eventuelle gemeinsame Exkursion mit Markus passen oder nicht passen würde.

Hello Dietrich,
Very colourful moth and set in a beautiful composition with very good detail. I can see some noise in the BG and I think its a little dark, so I Workshopped it al little. See what you think. Cheers

Hello Dieter,
This species of Burnet moth, Agrumenia fausta, is so attractive and nicely taken on the yellow composit flower that any minor technical deficiencies seem less important and the ligting and BG are excellent.

Your PP work is good, sharpening is inevitable, so do not worry.
What an attractive moth. And the flower is nice too.

Hi Dietrich,

In spite of your technical difficulties, it's still an attractive image. Brilliant color on the insect, and decent detail, although it does appear that the camera focused on the flower.

I too have a compact camera, in my case a Panasonic FZ5, which I sometimes opt for when I don't want to, or can't, carry the relatively heavy DSLR and associated lenses and accessories along, but I find that it's harder to consistently get the best results from it due mainly to the lack of manual control over focus. Usually it works well, but occasionally it won't focus where I want it to, so I know what you're experiencing here.
