|One of the many Large White's (Pieris brassicae) laying eggs on my cabbages in the garden, I liked this shot because of the colour in the background and the appearance of ridges in its wings.|
The Large White flies May - September. It's under-wings are yellowish, upper-wings creamy-white with black tip to fore-wing, female has two spots on fore-wing. It black and yellow caterpillars feed on cabbages and other brasiscas.

We are neighbours today!
Awesome snap! Very nice white BF. You have captured this from nice PoV. Great macro
Good details and texture on the wings - difficult in a white subject with a dark BG. Nice colours, too, as you say. I doubt this one was laying eggs though, as it is a male.... Cheers
Excellent capture, very nice colors, light and fine details,
have a nice day,
Excellent exposure on the white of the wings showing good detail. Nice full frame.

You did well to get this male Large White almost entirely sharp from this dorsal POV when the wings are only half open. Well set off against the neutral BG. I see one antenna tip is missing!
Thanks and have a good weekend,
