[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I am posting this picture of a Damselfly which i took today. I would like to dedicate this picture to my father Nick ( nglen ) who you may know has been ill recently. He is slowly recovering and will be posting on here again shortly. We went to the local nature reserve to take him out for a while and i borrowed his Canon Powershot G10 to take this picture.

Common Blue Damselfly ( Enallagma cyathigerum ) Length 32mm.

This can often be confused with the Common Coenagrion.
The markings on the Males Abodomen usually resembles dot attached to stalk but it is rather variable in shape.
The Green and Black female is similar to females to Females of other small Damselflies.
It is widespread in Britain and Ireland.
Favours well vegetated lakes, ponds and canals and flies from May-early September, often resting on plants.

Well well then, little sister seems to be quite the secret photographer. Nicely positioned shot with nice colours and focus.
Sure Dad would be proud !

Big brother ; ))))

Hi Kelly,

A chip off the old block showing through here. Good fine focus and colours, I like the wood background.

Pleas give my regards to Nick and tell him to get well soon, miss his shots and comments.

Best regards

Bill

Hi Kelly!

Very good job on the subject, nice colors and good details, good composition too I only miss the wooden bg from the top but I know it was not you who put the damselfly there ;) I'm not a big fan of cloning unless for dust spot removal but here I'd try just to see how it looks..
Anyway TFS this nice shot!

Best regards,
Andor
