on my calibrated monitor I see no fault in the colors and contrasts and shades of your nice Nuthatch. The background to the right appears all grey or white, to the left it has a brownish-greenish tinge. Is the Nuthatch hiding some nuts in the moss?
What you can do to gain confidence in your own screen is to inspect a human portrait taken in the shade and without a flash and see whether it corresponds on screen with reality (IF the camera registers reality that is...). Even if all concurs, it will be only your reality you see since every eye sees the world slightly differently ... Complicated but marvellous subject, photography.
