Hello,

this was taken a couple of nights ago, at a spot about 5 minutes walk east from my house. Here, the shore is one of sandy beaches flanked by low lying sandy cliffs, that rise to the sandstone headland of Hengistbury Head, seen here in the distance.
Marram Grass (Ammophila) lines the cliff top, which is an environment vulnerable to erosion.
In Europe, Ammophila has a coastal distribution, and is the dominant species on sand dunes where it is responsible for stabilising and building the foredune by capturing blown sand and binding it together with the warp and weft of its tough, fibrous structure.

It would have been nice to have had some clouds to add some more interest to the sky here, but the light was nice anyway so hopefully yhe foreground element of this shot compensates a little for the blandness of the top third.

Thanks for looking..

Hi Paul,

A great shot of the coast, the light on the grass is very nice giving the subject the centre of attention. As normal very good focal range and clarity.

TFS regards Bill

Hello Paul,
The colours in this photo are so beautiful.... Your choice of POV was really perfect. The light is splendid. You opened your camera for 1/2 second and it's still sharp, unbelievable. Brilliant DOF.
Regards,
Peter

Hi Paul.
Places which surrounds your house are wonderful. I cannot take any landscape shot with wide angle lens without traces of people (houses, electric columns, etc) even on a sea shore. Superb subject, amazing lights and colours and ultimate sharpness/details. As always, Bravo and TFS.
Alexei.

Hi Paul,

Hallo Paul
I really like this view in front of me. The colours you have captured and the way you have presented it almost makes it look like a painting. I just love the different coloured layers in the sky and the sunlight just touching on the right spots. A variety of soft colours and composition combines to make this a feast for the eyes. I would love to be there. I look like such a relaxing place to be. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Hello Paul,
Very interesting to take pictures so late and to have this very fine light over the landscape. A most beautiful point of view enhanced by the subtle light falling on the grass in the foreground. The colors are always so beautiful at these transition hours. Very well seen.
Kind regards
Anne
