The answer to your question is a pale tussock moth have a look at this one I posted earlier http://www.treknature.com/gallery/Europe/United_Kingdom/photo18226.htm there are a couple of links there to some other images of it that should help confirm this.
The POV is a nice one with it curled defencivly around the leaf, it could do with being a little more in focus though, was the camera set in Macro mode? or it could be you tried to get too close to the subject for the camera to focus, it is allways tempting to get as close as possible to get it as large as possible but it is better to be further away and crop a little, I know it is one of the major reasons for the failure of my images :0((
