Greylag Geese in Embsay Resevoir
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I was in England from July 4 to 10 along with my school students. We were on an exchange visit to a school in North Yorkshire.
On July 5, we walked to Embsay reservoir above Skipton town and enjoyed a picnic there. I saw some birds in the water which I shot from a distance with my 70-300mm lens.
Not the best of pictures but passable. These are Greylag Geese as correctly identified by Marius and Peter.
I have tried an LP version too. Hope it works! |

Hello Ram,
Nice image with a specie of Goose not Duck.
I think it is the Greylag goose (Anser Anser) but I am not sure....Thanks for sharing!
Marius.

Hello Ram,
A nice photo of these geese, which we have here by ten-thousands. For farmers it's a pest, because of all the droppings on the pastures. It's indeed the Greylag Goose, anser anser. In the LP version not totally sharp.
Regards,
Peter

Hello Ram,
A nice group shot of these beautiful Greylag Geese from your recent trip. It's always neat to photograph something new and interesting when your in a different country. I am at work viewing this image on my iPhone and they appear sharp with lovely color tones.TFS.
